Cetil is a prescription treatment for adult patients 13 years and older with mild to moderate pharyngitis and tonsillitis caused by susceptible bacteria. It is indicated for the following bacterial infections: — Upper respiratory tract infections such as ear, nose, and throat infections — Lower respiratory tract infection, for example – acute bronchitis, pneumonia, and acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis. — Genito-urinary tract infections such as cystitis, pyelonephritis, and urethritis — Gonorrhoea — Early Lyme disease in adults and children over twelve years old. Cefuroxime Axetil is a prescription-only drug which is only available with a doctor’s prescription. Consult your doctor before taking Cefuroxime Axetil, as all antibiotic medications must be taken with a doctor’s prescription. Take care of all the precautions listed above.
