Danogen 50 mg capsules treat endometriosis, a disease that occurs when tissues like the uterine lining grow outside the uterus, typically in the pelvis. It also relieves severe pain and tenderness associated with fibrocystic breast disease. The lining of the uterus is termed endometrium; part of it sheds during the menstrual period. In endometriosis, endometrium-like tissue is found outside the uterus, such as around the uterus intestines and other organs in the pelvic area. Some females with endometriosis have symptoms such as pelvic pain, painful periods, pain during intercourse, and painful bowel movements. Danogen changes the endometrium, so it shrinks in size. Patients usually relieve painful symptoms within a few weeks after starting the medicine. In patients with benign fibrocystic breast disease, Danogen relieves pain and tenderness in the breast ad may cause nodules to shrink. Patients using Danogen 50 may begin to disappear after about one month. Nodules begin to shrink in six after two to three months of treatment. After starting treatment with Danazol, you will probably have one or more periods. Your periods will stop while receiving Danogen capsules; however, you may experience occasional spotting or vaginal bleeding.
