  • Lice infestations (when topical treatment is impractical)

  • Some interest (controversially) for COVID-19 treatment/prevention (not FDA-approved; not recommended by CDC/WHO due to lack of proven efficacy and safety)

Dosage Recommendations:

  • Strongyloidiasis: 200 mcg/kg orally once; may repeat after 2 weeks if necessary.

  • Onchocerciasis: 150 mcg/kg orally once, may repeat every 6–12 months.

  • Scabies/Lice (off-label): 200 mcg/kg orally as a single dose, repeated after 7–14 days.

  • Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)

  • Discoid lupus erythematosus

Common Unlabeled (Off-Label) Uses:

  • Some other autoimmune and dermatologic conditions

Dosage Recommendations:

  • RA/SLE: 200–400 mg daily (usually divided in 1–2 doses; do not exceed 400 mg/day long term).

  • Malaria prophylaxis: 400 mg once weekly starting 2 weeks before exposure and continuing 4 weeks after leaving endemic area.

  • Acute malaria: 800 mg initially, then 400 mg at 6, 24, and 48 hours.

Note:
Dose adjustments for renal/hepatic impairment; regular eye exams recommended for long-term use due to risk of retinopathy.

3. Doxycycline 100mg Tablets (Qty: 100)

Tetracycline-class antibiotic

Labeled Uses:

  • Infections caused by susceptible bacteria, including:

    • Respiratory tract infections

    • Lyme disease

    • Malaria prophylaxis

Common Unlabeled (Off-Label) Uses:

  • Community-acquired MRSA infections (skin/soft tissue)

  • Q fever, Brucellosis, and more

  • COVID-19 (not recommended except as part of research or secondary bacterial infection)

Dosage Recommendations:

  • General infections: 100 mg orally every 12 hours (twice daily)

  • Acne: 50–100 mg orally once or twice daily

  • Malaria prophylaxis: 100 mg daily, starting 1–2 days before travel, through 4 weeks after leaving endemic area

4. Prednisone 20mg Tablets (Qty: 50)

Drug Class:
Systemic corticosteroid (glucocorticoid)

Labeled Uses:

  • Treatment of a wide variety of inflammatory and autoimmune conditions:

    • Many other inflammatory/immune-mediated conditions

Common Unlabeled (Off-Label) Uses:

  • Bell’s palsy

  • Severe COVID-19 (when dexamethasone is unavailable)

Dosage Recommendations:

  • Typical range: 5–60 mg daily, depending on condition and severity.

  • Acute asthma/COPD: 40–60 mg daily for 5–10 days.

  • Autoimmune: Often start high, then taper as symptoms improve.

Note:
Duration and dose depend heavily on indication. Tapering is required for long-term use to avoid adrenal insufficiency.

5. Vitamin D 60,000 IU Capsules (Qty: 12, Weekly Dose)

Drug Class:
Fat-soluble vitamin (nutritional supplement, hormone analog)

Labeled Uses:

  • Prevention and treatment of vitamin D deficiency

  • Mood regulation, muscle function, cardiovascular health (supplemental use)

Dosage Recommendations:

  • Vitamin D deficiency: 50,000–60,000 IU orally once weekly for 6–8 weeks, then maintenance (usually 800–2000 IU/day).

  • Maintenance: After correction, a lower maintenance dose is recommended.

  • Toxicity risk increases at high doses—monitor blood levels if using for extended periods.

Note:
The weekly 60,000 IU dose is a high-dose regimen used for deficiency correction, not for long-term maintenance.
