Aromasin 25 mg

Aromasin 25 mg contains Exemestane, categorized under the class of medicines known as aromatase inhibitors. It interferes with aromatase, which is required to make the female hormones estrogens, especially in postmenopausal women. Reducing levels of estrogen is a way to treat hormone-dependent breast cancer. Aromasin is indicated for treating hormone-dependent early breast cancer in postmenopausal women after 2 to 3 years of tamoxifen therapy (an anticancer medicine). It is also given to treat hormone-dependent advanced-stage breast cancer in postmenopausal women when a different hormonal drug has not worked well.
