Like all medicines, Rhinocort can cause side effects, but not everybody gets them.
Common side effects
- Nosebleeds or bloody mucus
- Dryness or irritation inside the nose or throat
- Headache
- Unpleasant taste or smell
These are usually mild and often get better as your body gets used to it. Tell your doctor if they bother you or do not go away.
Stop using it and get medical help straight away if you notice:
- Blurred vision or other changes in eyesight
- Signs of an allergic reaction, such as swelling or trouble breathing
- Sores in the nose that do not heal, or a whistling sound when breathing through the nose
