Elocon 10gm Cream

Elocon 10 gm cream has mometasone furoate, a corticosteroid drug that decreases the effects of the chemicals that cause redness, swelling, or inflammation. Mometasone Furoate is used to heal the inflammation and itching due to a host of skin conditions like allergic reactions, psoriasis, or eczema. The anti-inflammatory action of the drug helps treat inflammatory skin conditions such as dermatitis or eczema. The topical formulation may be used in pediatric patients two years or older. However, the safety and effectiveness of the medication use for longer than three weeks have not been established. Since the safety and effectiveness of this medication have not been adequately established in pediatric patients below two years of age, its usage in this group is not recommended. This topical drug is sold under various brand names, such as Asmanex.
