Natrise 30 mg tablet treats low levels of sodium in the bloodstream. It contains the active substance Tolvapatan which effectively treats low sodium levels in the blood, resulting from conditions such as heart failure, liver impairment, and certain hormonal imbalances. Tolvaptan belongs to a class of medications known as vasopressin antagonists. Vasopressin is a hormone that helps prevent fluid loss by reducing urine output. Antagonists mean that it prevents vasopressin hormone from affecting water retention. This causes a significant reduction in water in the body by increasing water loss (urine production). As a result, it increases sodium levels in your bloodstream. Natrise is especially effective in treating low sodium levels in your blood because of a disease called syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion (SIADH), where the kidneys have too much fluid. This disease is responsible for causing an appropriate production of vasopressin which caused the sodium levels to be too low. That leads to problems in memory, concentration, or keeping in your balance.
