Olmezest AM 5/20mg

Olmezest AM 5/20 mg is a combination therapy to increase antihypertensive efficacy in those patients with poor blood pressure control. To help achieve blood pressure targets, doctors prescribe combination therapy like Olmezest, particularly in those patients with a high cardiovascular risk. Olmezest AM combines Olmesartan/Amlodipine, demonstrating greater efficacy than other monotherapies used to reduce blood pressure. The antihypertensive agent lowers blood pressure and reduces the chance of stroke or heart attack. It is used as initial therapy in patients likely to need multiple antihypertensive agents to gain blood pressure control. As per clinical reports, the use of Olmesartan/Amlodipine combination allowed up to more than 50% of patients with previous inadequate response to Amlodipine or Olmesartan monotherapy to achieve blood pressure targets.
