Prazopress 2 mg is used for the treatment of hypertension. It contains the active ingredient Prazosin. It can be used alone or with other hypertensive agents such as diuretics or beta-adrenergic blocking agents. It is also effective at treating prostate problems such as benign prostatic hyperplasia. Your doctor may also prescribe Prazopress to treat Raynaud’s disease, where the fingers become white and very painful when cold. Certain types of heart failure can also be treated with Prazosin. The antihypertensive agent causes the relaxation of muscles in the walls of blood vessels and makes it easier for blood to flow. They also relax the muscles in the prostate gland and improve the flow of urine. When recommended for treating high blood pressure or heart failure, Prazopress is often given in combination with other medicines.
