Pyzina 750 mg contains Pyrazinamide, an antibiotic prescribed mainly for treating tuberculosis (TB). It may also be used for the treatment of other infections. Pyrazinamide is available under several trade names. Do not take Pyrazinamide (Pyzina) if you have a known allergy. Let your doctor know in advance if you have conditions like liver disease, gout, kidney disease, or diabetes mellitus. Pyrazinamide is an FDA pregnancy category C drug. Do not take this medication without your doctor’s advice if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. This medication can pass into breast milk and harm a nursing baby. You must complete the full course of Pyrazinamide. If you do not complete the medication course as prescribed, you may get a drug-resistant infection which will be difficult to treat with common antibiotics.
