Silofast 8 mg is a prescription medicine for treating signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). BPH is a common progressive disease among men, more prevalent in older men. Silofast 8 mg contains Silodosin as the main active ingredient. It is an alpha-adrenergic antagonist that helps relieve symptoms such as difficulty passing urine; however, the medicine does not decrease the prostate’s size.
