Syncapone is a combination of carbidopa, Levodopa, and Entacapone used to treat Parkinson’s disease. Parkinson’s disease is a progressive, neurodegenerative disorder of the nervous system affecting the mobility and control of the skeletal and muscular systems. Its characteristic features include resting tremors and slowness of movement. Levodopa increases the amount of dopamine and hence reduces the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. Carbidopa and Entacapone enhance the anti-Parkinson’s effects of Levodopa.
