Female Cialis contains tadalafil, the same medicine used to treat erection problems in men. It is sold to help women who have trouble becoming sexually aroused, such as low sensation or difficulty reaching orgasm.

Please know that tadalafil is not approved for women in most countries, including the USA and UK, and there is very little research on how well it works for women. A doctor can help find the real cause of arousal problems, which can be hormonal, emotional, medical or linked to other medicines.

What is it used for?

Problems with sexual arousal in adult women (not an officially approved use in most countries)

How does it work?

Tadalafil increases blood flow to the genital area when a person is sexually excited, and its effect can last up to 36 hours. It does not increase sexual desire on its own.

Read these points before you start. If any of them apply to you, talk to your doctor or pharmacist first.

Never take it if you use a nitrate medicine for chest pain (such as nitroglycerin/GTN spray or isosorbide) or recreational "poppers" (amyl nitrite). Together they can make your blood pressure drop to a dangerous level.
Do not take it if you use riociguat, a medicine for high blood pressure in the lungs.
Check with your doctor first if you have heart disease, have been told to avoid sex because of your heart, or had a heart attack or stroke in the last 6 months.
Tell your doctor if you have very low or uncontrolled high blood pressure, or liver or kidney problems.
Tell your doctor if you have an eye disease such as retinitis pigmentosa, or have ever suddenly lost sight in one eye.
Tell your doctor if your penis has an unusual shape (for example Peyronie's disease) or you have a condition that can cause long erections, such as sickle cell anaemia, leukaemia or multiple myeloma.
Tell your doctor if you have a bleeding problem or an active stomach ulcer.
Some medicines can raise the amount of this medicine in your blood, such as ritonavir and other HIV medicines, ketoconazole, itraconazole, clarithromycin and erythromycin. Alpha-blockers (for example doxazosin or tamsulosin) can make your blood pressure drop more.
Do not drink lots of alcohol or grapefruit juice with it. They can raise side effects like dizziness and low blood pressure.
It does not protect against pregnancy or sexually transmitted infections.
Do not take it if you are pregnant, could be pregnant or are breastfeeding.
It is for adult women only. Talk to a doctor before using it.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist about every other medicine, vitamin or herbal product you use.
Keep this product out of the reach and sight of children.

Like all medicines, Female Cialis can cause side effects, but not everybody gets them.

Common side effects

Headache
Flushing (your face feels warm and looks red)
Stuffy or runny nose
Indigestion or upset stomach
Feeling dizzy
Back pain or aching muscles

These are usually mild and often get better as your body gets used to it. Tell your doctor if they bother you or do not go away.

Stop using it and get medical help straight away if you notice:

An erection that lasts longer than 4 hours (this can damage the penis if it is not treated quickly)
Sudden loss or dimming of sight in one or both eyes
Sudden loss of hearing, or ringing in the ears with dizziness
Chest pain, fainting or an uneven heartbeat during or after sex
Signs of an allergic reaction, such as swelling of the face, lips or tongue, a bad rash, or trouble breathing

This is not a complete list. If you notice anything unusual, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Take one tablet at least 30 minutes to 1 hour before sexual activity, with a glass of water.
You can take it with or without food.
Never take more than one tablet in 24 hours.
If it does not help after a few tries, stop and talk to your doctor about other options.

If you miss a dose: It is only taken when needed, so you cannot really miss a dose. Never take two doses in one day.

If you use too much: Contact your doctor, a poison control centre or your local emergency number straight away, even if you feel fine. Take the pack with you.

How to store it: Keep it in its original pack at room temperature (below 25°C / 77°F), away from heat, damp and direct sunlight. Do not use it after the expiry date.

Will Female Cialis give me an erection without being turned on?: No. It only helps your body respond when you are sexually excited. Without arousal, nothing will happen.
Can I drink alcohol with Female Cialis?: A small drink is usually fine, but a lot of alcohol makes erections harder to get and raises the chance of dizziness and low blood pressure.
Is Female Cialis addictive?: No. It is not habit-forming. You can stop using it at any time.
Does Female Cialis increase my desire for sex?: No. It may help your body respond when you already feel aroused, but it does not create desire.
